In National 5, students have Mathematics for 4 periods a week. Learners will continue their specific pathway (Apps and/or Maths) from S3 at National 3, 4 or 5.
National 3 and 4 are assessed through in class unit assessments. There are no grades with only a pass awarded.
National 5 is assessed by sitting an end of year exam. This consists of a 50 minutes non-calculator Paper 1 and 1 hour 40 minutes calculator Paper 2. National 5 learners will complete unit and formal assessments throughout the year to prepare for the final exam.
