Basketball Club

Due to Scottish Cup fixtures there will be no after school basketball club on TODAY – back on 21st January as normal.

Craigmount S3 Bronze DofE

The Craigmount Bronze DofE group will start weekly training again TODAY at 3:35 pm in Mr MacArthur’s room. Meetings will be every Tuesday and attendance is mandatory as this is your training for your expedition. Please see Mr MacArthur if there are any problems or questions.


The 2020 Scottish Space School @ Strathclyde residential summer school will be held at the University of Strathclyde from 15-19 June 2020 and applications are now being invited via the online application system. 

Now in its 17th year at the University, the Scottish Space School continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists and is aimed at S5 pupils in Scotland currently studying Maths and Science subjects at Higher level. Applications must be made online and further information and the online application form is available at:

Malawi 2021 Expedition

Can those students who came to see me before the Christmas holidays and are serious about going on the expedition please come to see me as I have further information regarding the trip. Thank you, Mr MacArthur.

S4 Day Event

Medic Insight Day 2019 – Saturday 21st March 2020 @ Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh

Applications for this are ne open.

The event will consist of talks from medical students and doctors followed by an afternoon of interactive workshops all designed to provide an initial insight into what a career in medicine could look like.

S5 Week Event

Medic Insight Week 1 – Monday 15th June – Friday 19th June 2020

Medic Insight Week 2 – Monday 22nd June – Friday 26th June 2020. 

Both weeks @ various sites around Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Applications for this will open on the 17th February and will close on 23rd February. Weak applications will be subject to a competitive application process and places will be allocated following marking and will not be issued on a first come first serve basis.

S4-S6 Students: Key events at City of Glasgow College in January:

Saturday 18th January 10am – 4pm

Glasgow City College are holding an Open Day on Saturday 18th January from 10am – 4pm at our City Campus.  There will be tours of our award-winning campus, demos and activities with staff and students available to chat about life at college and courses available.  Visitors can come along at any time between 10am and 4pm and have a look around or chat with staff and students.  There’s more information on our website:

Wednesday 15th January

Full-time applications for August 2020 open on Wednesday 15th January.  Our website has been updated and all the full time courses are on the website now so pupils can have a look at courses available so they are ready to apply on 15th January when they open.
