I hope you are well. I also hope you have received and have now read the detailed DHT updates email sent yesterday afternoon. Mrs Coull’s wellbeing update also included a survey to help us with the on-going development of wellbeing and remote learning and it would be very helpful if you could take few minutes to respond to the two questions in the survey.
Many of you will have been watching the daily government update and today some key communication was made around the easing of lockdown and how this would look for education. I am now in the process of liaising with colleagues and absorbing the government plans, and await further local authority communication on this. I will update you on specifics as soon as I am in a position to do so.
This morning I have also been involved in online meetings with our cluster Head Teachers. Transition cannot be the same this year but we are exploring ways to make it as helpful and supportive as possible for the new S1, including how we might have some P7 visits to the building as usually happens in June during transition. The planning of this will be in line with the strategic framework just published by the Scottish Government at lunchtime today.
Our regular Extended leadership Team meeting also took place this morning and we discussed in detail how we can continue to improve and refine the online provision. Mr Pye will now use these ideas, as well as the helpful feedback and suggestions from individual parents and through the Parent Council, to develop our next phase.
