Debating – Mr McPake

Debating will take place in the library during Wednesday lunchtime. The motion, suggested by the RME department, will be This House believes that religion has done more harm than good. All staff and students are welcome.


RUGBY FINALS @BT MURRAYFIELD – Mr Pye 

This coming Thursday (27th November) @ BT Murrayfield – entry is free. The evening will showcase the best U18 and U16 school teams in the country.

In the under-18 competition, Merchiston Castle will take on the holders, George Watson’s College, on the newly installed surface at BT Murrayfield (kick-off 7.45pm), while their under-16s will contest the final with Dollar Academy at 6.pm (Entry is FREE).

Attention all Pupils – Safety Warning – Ms Gibson

There was a serious incident that happened at lunchtime on Monday, 24 November  that resulted in an S1 pupil getting hit by a stone on the head and having to get medical treatment.

I would like to remind all pupils that throwing stones or objects of any kind is potentially very dangerous. Any behaviour of this kind will be taken very seriously.


Christmas concert – Mrs Morison

Tickets go on sale this Friday 28th at lunchtime for the Christmas concert on Monday 15th December. These are restricted to 3 per student in the first instance. Price £7 (£3 for concessions). Please bring the correct money or a cheque payable to Craigmount High School.
