S1-3 RED NOSE DAY SPORTATHON FUND RAISER
Students in S1-3 who wish to take part in fund raising activities on Friday 15th March must sign up to the events on the concourse. Sign up will be on Friday 8th March – Tuesday 12th March at break and lunch time. Sponsor sheets will be issued at this point. The theme for this year is 60’s & 70’s dress students are expected to dress accordingly. The suggested dress-up donation is £1/student on entering the school. The Sportathon activities are as follows

0700-0800 – Football on the astro turf ( S1-6, £1 per player donation on the gate)
0840-0930 – Volleyball (S1-3 by sign-up with sponsor sheet only)
0930-1020 – Badminton (S1-3 by sign-up with sponsor sheet only)
1040-1130 – Basketball (S1-3 by sign-up with sponsor sheet only)
1130-1220 – Netball (S1-3 by sign-up with sponsor sheet only)

Your WOW’19 trip allocations have now been made. If there are any changes required, for example changing the day on which you attend a trip, this can be done during tutor on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The opportunity to make changes will only happen once and any change requests are not guaranteed. Changes will take place on:

To celebrate World Book Day on Thursday we invite you to play a game.
This week 40 teachers are wearing name badges with the name of book characters through the ages.
Additional entry forms are available from the library.
Simply take a note of the teacher and the character name they are displaying.
Completed entries should be handed in to the library by Tuesday 12th March and winners will be announced at the end of that week.

Career Inspiration Days – March 2019
Edinburgh College is hosting for schools pupils across the region, 4 afternoon events designed to give pupils in S4/S5 or S6 who are planning to study an SCP course the opportunity to attend a workshop to find out more about the course of their choice and take part in activities.
These sessions will run as follows:

Friday 22 March – Milton Road Campus (1.30-4.00pm)

World Book Day – Book Swap
We are intending on holding a Book Swap for World Book Day on the 7th March at break for both staff and students. If you would like to donate some good quality items (both fiction and information books) These can be dropped off anytime at the library. We are looking for items for any age group range!
Calling all avid readers – if you’re interested in reading and discussing books come along to the library and have a chat about an exciting new project! Escape, Connect, Relate
