Debating – Mr McPake
In order to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI, the debating society will hold a special debate on the motion “This House believes that commemorations of WWI should not glorify the war in any way.”
The debate will take place in WEDNESDAY, not Thursday, in the library at lunchtime. Students are advised to bring a packed lunch and arrive early as the event will start at 13:25 promptly.
All staff and students are invited to this important event.
Lego Robotics Challenge
Are you in S1 – S3?
Are you interested in being part of a national competition using Lego Robots to complete a humanitarian themed challenge?
If so then please attend a meeting in room 145 (Science) at morning break on Thursday 8th November.

We are looking for a team of 10 pupils (5 boys and 5 girls) to represent Craigmount in the challenge, the Scottish heats will be in January/February, if the Craigmount team wins then you will compete in the UK finals at the Bing Bang Fair held at the NEC Birmingham in March.
You do not need to be a Lego master or a programming wizard to take part! If you are up for a challenge, prepared to work hard as part of a team and have fun at the same time then come along to the meeting and finds out more.
To mark the centenary of the end of WW1 please buy a poppy as an act of remembrance for all those who have lost their lives in conflict since WW1.
