“S4-S6 Hospitality Open day, 12.09.2019

Come along to the Apex Hotels Open Day to find out how pupils can apply for a space on the upcoming Apex Hotels Pre-Apprenticeship Programme.

To provide further insight into the Pre-Apprenticeship Programme, Apex Hotels are inviting interested pupils and teachers to an Open Day at the Apex on Thursday 12th September from 10am until 12 noon. The purpose of this session will be for pupils and teachers to understand more about the programme and what it involves as well as have a chance to see inside the hotel.

“Opportunity for S4-S6 Students interested in Law: Brodies Career Insight Day.

The Career Insight Day is designed for S4/S5/S6 students looking to learn more about a career in law. There will be an overview of the firm and pupils will have an opportunity to ask questions to some of the lawyers working at the firm. There will be a number of activities including a mock case scenario, the route to the career in law will be explained and the firm will and provide some top tips for writing CV’s, attending assessment centres and interview techniques.

Girls Football:  If you are interested in getting involved in girls football at school this year, please come along to a meeting on Wednesday during morning break in the PE games hall to sign up.  Important information will be issued so please make sure you attend.

S1/S2 Creative Writing Club

Please come along next week to Creative Writing Club in Room 220 to dazzle us with your ideas, stories, descriptions and creativity. We are a small group of enthusiastic writers and welcome anyone who wants to put pen to paper and have fun. 

Open to all S1 and S2s. Feel free to bring your lunch. 

Would you like to join Book Club? 

Calling all S1-S3 students who enjoy reading or would like to start reading more. Book Club is for students who would like to find a quiet place to read, share their thoughts and give recommendations. 

Come along to the library at lunch on Wednesday to sign up and find out more.

Day of European Languages

Corstorphine Primary School is looking for Senior students to support their day of European Languages on Thursday 26 September. Please see Mrs McKerrecher as soon as possible if you wish to do this. You would also have to speak to teachers you have that day and catch up on any missed work.
