NEW S5&6 INFORMATION EVENT
The information event for S4 moving to S5 and S5 moving to S6 is on Thursday 31st January at 1830. This is aimed at parents/carers but students are welcome to attend. We encourage parents/carers to book online, but it is not essential.

S2 Careers Week Message from the DYW team
This week is CHS Careers Week, and as part of this week, all S2 students will participate in a special Career Speed Networking event during periods 3, 4 and 5 on Wednesday 30th Jan.
You will get the opportunity to meet volunteers in a whole range of jobs and speak with some ex-Craigmount students.
WOW2019: Tiree Adventure
Please pay the next payment of £100 through Parent Pay by 1stFebruary 2019. If there are any difficulties making this payment, please let me know as soon as possible.
Any S4/5 students who are looking at leaving at the end of the year please see Mrs Frew about attending the jobs roadshow on 6th March. There will be over 70 employers there and you can apply for jobs on the day. Also any S6 who is looking at an alternative to university should attend this.
S5 and S6
Any S5 or S6 student who would like to come along to the National Museum of Scotland on Friday 15 March from 1.30 to approximately 3/3.30pm, please see Mrs McKerrecher by close of day Wednesday. This is a good opportunity to hear from a range of people who work there about their role and experiences with curation, tourism, creation and innovation, working with schools and other partnerships and the opening of their new Egypt and Asia rooms.
Sutton Trust Summer School 30 June to 5 July 2019.
Only 1 month left to make an application!
The Sutton Trust Summer School at the University of St Andrews is held each year in order to give pupils in S5 the chance to experience a week in the life of a university student. It has been proved that this experience, aimed at pupils who fulfil most of the criteria set out in the information material, is of great benefit when applying to competitive universities.
The residential week includes study within academic areas of interest, social activities and advice on UCAS related topics. The week is free of charge and pupils are only required to bring spending money for their personal use.
Applications are now open and I would encourage your pupils to apply early. Further information can be found online at
