Respect Week 2018 (12th – 16th Nov)
Craigmount High School is now recognised as a Rights Respecting School. Everybody in the Craigmount community had the opportunity to vote on which rights we deemed were most important to us and five rights came out very prominently, resulting in the following.

Debating – Mr McPake
Debating will take place in the library during Thursday lunchtime. The motion will be This House would set classes by academic ability. All staff and students are welcome.
Friday debating is not on this week as the seniors have St Andrews on Saturday.
Equalities group will be meeting on Wednesday 21st Nov in room 1/20, new members are welcome!
Edinburgh Schools Sports Academy – New Volleyball Development Squad for S1/S2:
The Sports Academy are introducing a new volleyball/beach volleyball development squad this year and applications are open for anyone in S1 or S2 who would like to apply. Details are on the screen in PE dept, please drop in to PE Base if you would like an application form. Closing date is Friday 23rd November.

WOW 2019 : Tiree Adventure (S1 – S3)
S1-S3 students who have shown an interest in going on this fantastic trip to the Isle of Tiree, in May 2019, please attend a meeting at break time in CDT room G47 on Fri 16 November. This meeting is to let you know if you have been selected to go on this trip, to give you further information, to give out a letter with permission slips and to give you information on Parent Pay. This is a 6 day trip and will cost about £300. If you are unable to attend this meeting but you would like to know if you have been selected, see Mr.Cheyne in CDT.

There is a radiotherapy open day on Saturday 17th November at the Western General Hospital. If anyone is thinking of becoming a radiotherapist, interested in working in the field of radiotherapy or medical physics, or has an interest in how cancers are cured using radiotherapy, then go along to the Western General Hospital on the 17th between 11am and 4pm. There will be talks and demos from people working in the field.
