Yesterday all parents/carers were texted to publicise the release of the report into the school closures, which has received extensive media interest. You can access the 250 page report on the council website.
It was great to have such a high turnout at the S2 parent information evening on Tuesday. The new online booking for other events once again worked well and we will now use it for events other than parent evenings. The details for S2 learner reviews are available, including all deadlines, on the school website. The S2 parent consultation booking system is now live.
This week assemblies focused on Safer Internet Week messages, and included a talk from a Police Scotland representative on how young people can keep safe when using social media and the internet. This was well received. When we return on Monday 20th February, the assemblies will be on Health and Wellbeing.
This week choices were being confirmed for WOW17 ( Week of Wellbeing in May). These include a wide range of residential, local and many free events. All in S1-3 will be involved. Mr Beattie has been leading on this and will continue to do this once our new Curriculum Leader and Trips Coordinator, Mr Enwood, takes up post after the mid-term break. It was also good to see our netball teams yet again enjoy more success this week at quarter finals stage.
Have a great February break.
