Senior Management

The Headteacher, Tom Rae, has overall strategic responsibility for the leadership and management of all aspects of the school. These include leading learning and teaching, developing teachers and staff, leading change and improvement, managing resources and building the school community.

Various aspects of the Headteacher’s role are devolved to the deputes and to the business manager as follows:

Carol Bryce (Acting Business Manager) – responsibility for the management of:

  • School budgets
  • SQA
  • Support staff
  • School building

Scott Pye (Depute) – responsible for:

  • 01 and 02 Classes
  • S1-3 Curriculum
  • Assessment, reporting and tracking
  • Health and Wellbeing

Stephen Rafferty (Depute) – responsible for:

  • 03, 04, 05 and 06 Classes
  • Learning and Teaching
  • P7 to S1 transition
  • Induction and development of staff

Mike Irving (Depute) – responsibility for:

  • 07, 08, 09, and 10 Classes
  • the whole school timetable
  • Senior Phase Curriculum
  • Transition of students into positive, sustained destinations including Higher Education, Further Education and Employment
  • National Qualifications
