Debating – Mr McPake

Thursday lunchtime will mark Mrs Grant’s last debate at Craigmount High School. We will mark the occasion with a staff vs. students debate on the motion This House would ban S6 from the library. All staff and students should make an effort to attend!

Composition Competition

Are you a budding Mozart or Beethoven? Every year the music department looks to celebrate the compositional work of our students. Two winners are chosen every year – a classical piece and a contemporary piece – and are awarded a prize at the Evening of Celebration.

If you would be interested in entering the competition please submit a copy of your composition, a short note describing your piece and an audio file of your composition on a CD to Mrs Murray by Thursday 30th March.

For all S6, S1 and S2 Paired Readers:

There will be a celebration for all paired readers on Wednesday, April 26th, period 1. This is the second week back after Easter.

It will be in the library. Seniors, bring your reading logs. There will be certificates, activities and refreshments.

S6: please let me know if you can’t come.
