Bus and Coach Repair Engineer – 10 Modern Apprenticship positions available in Edinburgh – You must have or expect to gain National 4 or above in English, Maths and Craft & Design or a science subject. Standard Grades at Credit or General Level and Intermediates are also accepted. You must be literate, numerate, reliable and keen to learn. A driving licence is essential for this post. S6 Ties – Mr Rae
S6 ties have now arrived. They will be issued after TG on Friday this week. Please go to the assembly area after Tutor Group.
Rugby – S1/S2 and S3/S4 – Mr Arbuckle
Training begins after school on Thursday this week. New members – including S1 – are very welcome. Fixtures are already in the diary so we need to get organised.
Meet in PE after school. Please try and bring football/rugby boots and a gumshield.
Scripture Union – Mr Polland
This group meets during lunchtime on Thursday 27th August in Room 2/51. You may bring your packed lunch.
Netball – Miss Smith
Netball training will begin on Tuesday 1/9/15 for all year groups.
Could any senior pupils interested in coaching younger teams please meet in the dance studio this Thursday at break. If you can’t come to the meeting please see Miss Smith in PE this week.
After School Sports Clubs – Mr Laurie
All our after school sports clubs will get underway next week, starting on Monday, 31st August.
Please check out the notice boards for times and activity areas.
Make sure you have submitted your sports club applications and EE2 forms.
Premier League Weekend Football Trip – Mr Gray(PE)
The PE department are delighted to offer all pupils who are interested, the opportunity to see two live football matches in the English Premier League this season. Last year’s trip down to Newcastle was a huge success with 40 pupils attending and we would hope to see some familiar faces coming along again. If you are interested in going on the trip, which takes in Man City v Norwich and Everton v Sunderland over an action packed weekend, then please come pick up a letter from Mr Gray/Beattie in PE and attend a short meeting in the Dance Studio on Thursday at break
Music – Miss Hannah
Many music extra-curricular groups start this week.
Thursday lunch: Full choir
Orchestra: starts back Wednesday 26th August after school and will meet in the band room. Attendance is compulsory for those who receive instrumental lessons in an orchestral instrument in school.
S6 Concourse Duty – S Gibson
Can all S6 leaders who signed up for concourse duties please make sure they have checked the rota. This can be found on the common room door, at the back of the concourse and outside Ms Gibson’s room. I will also send one to all S6 tutors.
If your name is on the rota and you no longer wish to be included please let me know.

English/History London Trip – Mrs Kidd
There will be a meeting for those students who are going on this trip in November.
It will be on Thursday 27th August in room 2/07. If you are unable to attend, please let Mr Jardine know.
