Industrial Action at Edinburgh College UPDATE
The Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS) union has agreed to suspend Tuesday’s (14 March) planned strike action at Edinburgh College. This means the college will be open as normal on Tuesday and classes will go ahead as planned, so please send your pupils in.

College management and the EIS have agreed to hold talks supported by the independent conciliation service ACAS on Tuesday to try and find a resolution and prevent further strike action. We do not yet know if the three remaining strike days will still go ahead but we will let you know as soon as possible.

The remaining strike days planned by the EIS are:

  • Thursday 16 March
  • Tuesday 21 March
  • Wednesday 22 March

Orchestra will resume Thursday 16th March and Thursday 23rd March after school 3.30-4. Please see Miss Hannah if you need any more details.

Junk Food Club

‘Junk Food Club will be on on Friday 17th March from 12:44 – 14:15pm at the latest. For those of you who came to the club last term, you will know how good it was to cook a nutritious tasty, FREE lunch from food that would otherwise have gone to waste! Some delicious lunches last time included a stir fry, tomato pasta and fajitas. The fact is if someone is absent in FCT, the fresh ingredients that aren’t always freezable, often go to waste! The club will run every month. Open to all year groups, boys and girls, come and see Miss Tugman any break or lunch time or at any other time before 17th March to generate your interest. First come first served, students who attended last time and new students are welcome.’
