Calling all S6 Entrepreneurs

Are you interested in experiencing firsthand the setting up and running of your own company in school over the course of the year?  It is your company – you elect the Board of Directors from amongst the members, raise share capital and market and finance a product or service of your own choice.  This is an ideal opportunity to gain invaluable personal skills and enhance your CV and UCAS Personal Statement.

Interested, come along at lunchtime on Thursday 14 June to Room 234.  If you can’t make the meeting or want further information, please let Mrs Scott in Business Education know.

Cansat Project

Open to all S4-S6 pupils Cansat is a European Space Agency competition in which you will design and build a miniature satellite the size of a drinks can, to complete a mission of your choice. A successful Cansat team will require many different skills so this project is open to all S4 – S6 pupils, you do not have to be taking science! Key skills required are computer programming/coding, building electronic circuits, project management, fundraising, speaking and presenting.

If you win the UK competition you will compete in the European competition!

The first meeting is 14/6/18, this Thursday at 1:15pm sharp in room 145.

If you are interested but cannot attend the meeting speak to Mr Owens (rm 145) during tutor this week.
